There’s 2 causes that I feel I want to help right now and I’ve pretty much donated to all of the other charities.
It’s an incredibly tough time for charities at the moment as for many their retail shops, corporate donations and general fundraising initiatives had to stop due to Covid19. This leaves them with massive funding gaps.
I work closely with Barnardos and have featured many of their gowns on many shoots between Xpose and Ireland AM. Barnardos rely heavily on their Bridal Rooms and of course they’ve been closed. The money a wedding dress can bring is a very powerful thing and I’ve witnessed first hand how they help children and families. For that reason, I want to raise the equivalent of a dress to help in some way. If I raised €250 here it would make an unbelievable difference.
Next up is a fantastic initiative called Ireland Thanks You which aims to get many healthcare frontline workers a €100 one4all voucher to thank them for all their help. I know many brides and grooms that follow me who are working for us to keep us alive and this is a thank you to those brides and grooms. Again if I raised €250 that’s almost 3 frontline workers enjoying something nice. It’s small but if it can show some appreciation for the sacrifices then happy days!
So here’s what I’m hoping to do, I’m aiming to raise €500 by doing a marathon over 5 days. I’m starting on bank holiday Monday for 5 days.
