Your wedding ceremony is the most important part of your wedding day. The words you share, the intention of those words and the significance of those words cannot be under estimated. To ensure that you have the right script to represent you as a couple is a task in itself, but with the right guidance of an accredited celebrant, you will be guaranteed to have a meaningful ceremony.
Today we are taking a trip to Co. Clare where you will find one of the county’s most reputable celebrant groups. Coastal Ceremonies is led by Clara Malone and has a team including Orla Cronin and Susan Eyles.
Whilst they are based in Co. Clare, they officiate ceremonies all over Ireland 7 days a week. Locations are flexible and they can host ceremonies indoors in hotels, outdoor, in castles, gardens, on top of cliffs, in boats, lakeside, barns…home….the choices are endless and they are always up for a bit of fun. The beauty of a celebrant is all in the flexibility. So many couples are opting for this route to have that option of exchanging vows in a backdrop that they have always dreamt of.
All members are accredited celebrants and officiate symbolic wedding ceremonies, elopements and vow renewals. In addition, they officiate funerals, milestone and baby naming ceremonies and Susan is also a wedding planner which means she can plan your wedding or vow renewal.
To differentiate what they do, a celebrant is someone who hosts a non legal ceremony that is personalised, meaningful and memorable. Each ceremony is tailored to personally reflect each couple, their beliefs, personalities and style. This means that the legal ceremony would be conducted in your local registry office and your wedding ceremony amongst guests is with Clara and the team.
This option is ideal for couples who want to have a ceremony in a unique location where the legal paperwork can’t be signed under HSE guidelines; for example at home. It’s also a great option for couples who had to have a very small legal ceremony during the pandemic but now want to have another ceremony to declare their love for each other in front of friends and family and to continue the celebrations.
“It is not often you can really say that you love your job. Hand on heart, we love ours. We love meeting couples to plan their ceremonies, we love hearing the best and funniest engagement stories, we love telling stories and we love family celebrations so therefore we really have the dream job. We have been so lucky to work with the most amazing couples over the past few years and they have also been so generous with their feedback after their ceremonies. To find out what couples have said about us and the ceremonies we created for them, you can read their wonderful words here“
