Review – WOW Weddings

When I was planning my wedding, I had a huge list of decor needs. I had one company that draped the venue, another that did the light up dance floor, another that did my chiavari chairs, another that did my floristry, another that did my linen, I trawled Etsy, Amazon, Ikea and Ebay buying lanterns, candy cart accessories and then I made my own bunting. Whilst that sounds very romantic. It was time consuming, probably not cost effective and very difficult to coordinate closer to the time. When I visited WOW Weddings, I was delighted to see that there is one company that does all of the above as well as photo booths, selfie mirrors and light up letters.

I visited the show room of Wow Weddings in Dundalk and was like a kid in a candy shop. One of my favourite things is wedding styling and the overall visuals of a wedding.

Decor: At Wow Weddings they have a wide range of wedding draping options. By draping I mean that material that can be hung in your venue. A lot of couples opt for some form of draping behind the top table. I was very lucky to be one of the first to see WOW’s newest addition of a stunning gold drape. They also do the fairy light backdrop, top table and cake table too. They also have linen for tables. You can also choose their LED light up dance floor! This was the biggest talking point amongst my guests at my wedding! It can transform a room.

Chairs: You can really dress up a room with a crisp chair cover. The best part is that WOW weddings have a chair cover bow in every single colour. You can easily match to your wedding colours. They stock my favourite type of chairs – Chiavari chairs. I had these chairs for my own wedding and they just look beautiful in a room. They are the chairs that are wooden and vintage looking.

Centrepieces: In the showroom, I got to see the cherry blossom centrepieces on show. They are just stunning and add height and a real wow factor to a room. There are options to have lanterns, fish bowl, LED lit centrepieces or some crystal centrepieces too. One of the coolest (excuse the pun) options is their real live ice centrepieces or sculptures. Ollie told me about this couple that loved skiing and how their centrepiece was a ski themed ice sculpture.

Ceremony: As you walk in to the show room, you will see that there are ceremony pieces lining the hall. You can opt for tall candle holders, trees, cherry blossoms and lanterns. They have some light up trees too. They would be perfect for a darker room.

Floristry: WOW Weddings have a resident florist that can do all of your wedding flower needs. You can have your bouquets and ceremony flowers covered! You could also extend your floral theme to your centrepieces. If you remember ‘That’ picture from Kim and Kanye’s wedding, you may recall the beautiful floral wall in the background. Well, Wow also have one for you to use on your wedding day.

Entertainment: This is where you can really add a unique slant to your wedding day. A very popular choice is the photo booth or video booth. I have been at a few weddings with a photo booth and it is such great fun. They video booth allows guests to leave you a message. You can also choose to have a selfie mirror and I tried this at a wedding fair and again, hilarious! If you pick either booth or selfie mirror, your guests get to keep a print out of the pics as well as a copy being kept for you to put in a memory book.

Lighting: WOW weddings have every light up letter you could need! The show room is jam packed with letters! One of the best pieces I saw was their light up ‘Love’ letter table. You can use it as a cake display table or arrival drinks reception. This is super cool! I haven’t seen this anywhere else before. They also offer uplighters. Uplighters are the cans of lighting that sit on the floor and shoot light up the walls to ceiling. You could get various different colours to match your theme.

Sweet Treats: They have a lovely vintage cart with black and white awning. I’ve seen some candy carts like this on Pinterest and some opt to match their candy to the black and white theme. It’s very striking. They also have the Ferrerro Rocher pyramid and let me tell you, these are big hits on arrival!

As you can see, WOW weddings have a huge range of options and they are growing by the week so if there is something that you want, you should always check in to see if they will have it in stock by the time your wedding comes around.

I found their prices to be very competitive and it definitely works out a lot more cost effective to get everything from them rather than using loads of vendors. They deliver nationwide. For more information, visit WOW Weddings!
