Virginia Park Lodge is one of Ireland’s most highly sought after wedding venues. It is understandable why once you take a tour. Chef Richard Corrigan is the propioter and operator of the venue which means that food is at the forefront of importance.
The charm of the venue is in abundance and you every step you take you need to pause to take in the details. The lodge houses the arrival reception, ceremony, breakfast and disco. Original features still stand and Corrigan and his team have upgraded the venue whilst also retaining the georgian countryhouse feel. High ceilings, vintage waterford crystal chandeliers and commissioned art are present throughout. My favourite room is the Marquis Room which has vintage toys, grand piano and oversized comfy sofas and lit fireplace.
The Pavillion Ballroom is a huge feature and is a step above the rest. A high pavillion style ceiling with draping of white drapes and fairylights give an impressive look. A hanging floral installation sits above the top table in the centre of the room. There are plenty of options for ceremony and photography on the grounds. Virgina Park Lodge sits on Lake Ramor and acres of greenery, forestry and manicured gardens. You really are spoilt for choice.
