Within Irish Wedding Blog you can enjoy articles from proposing to planning, finding your venue to floral arrangements and of course dresses to dancing. I have built up a wealth of information over my years of working within the industry and i’m just dying to share all my knowledge with you!
My first love for weddings started when I worked with a high street jeweller where I was in charge of selling engagement and wedding rings. That was almost 20 years ago.
Following this, I studied Hospitality Management which took me to Chicago where I was given a real insight in to weddings during my internship. Upon my return to Ireland I got stuck in to management. In 2005 I jumped head first in to a wedding coordinator role between two hotels. At one point I had almost 300 weddings on the books. It was incredibly tough work but I loved every minute!
Over the 11 years, I became a Marketing Manager and specialised in Weddings and won several awards for my work.
Awards included:
- Stand of the year RDS Wedding & Honeymoon Show – Waterside House Hotel
- Stand of the year RDS Wedding & Honeymoon Show – Thomas Prior Hall
- Leinster Wedding Venue of the Year – Station House Hotel – WeddingsOnline
- Leinster Wedding Venue of the Year – Thomas Prior Hall – WeddingsOnline
- Dublin Wedding Venue of the Year – Thomas Prior Hall – WeddingDates
I’m now a wedding blogger and digital marketer within the Finance Industry.
Irish Wedding Blog was created in 2014 when I was tasked with setting up a blog as part of a college project when specialising in Digital Marketing after completing my Masters in Marketing with Dublin City University. Irish Wedding Blog very quickly gathered attention and so much so that it was spotted by Xpose.ie where I am a guest blogger and I have appeared on the panel on Ireland AM. Not to mention guest lecturing in DCU, Smurfit Business School in UCD and MC-ing wedding fairs and events.
I’ve judged awards for Weddingsonline.ie and guest blogged for WeddingDates.ie.
My biggest challenge presented itself in July 2014 where I did a complete DIY wedding which appeared in Irish Wedding Diary magazine and was listed as being one of the top 10 most popular real weddings in 2014 on WeddingOnline.ie.
Now, Irish Wedding Blog is one of Ireland’s leading wedding resources and attracts thousands of visitors every month. There is a huge social following through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube and Google Plus.
