I believe that invitations set the tone for your wedding day. Your wedding stationery is the ribbon that ties your theme and style together.
I came across this company recently when I was going to get cards for a baby shower. I spotted that they did wedding invitations and had a peek….needless to say, over an hour later I was still looking through the huge range of styles.
Basic Invite is in the US and is very friendly for Irish customers. Ah the beauty of online!
What makes these guys different is the huge choice you have. They have some set designs templated and all you need to do is replace with your details. You can change colours and there are over 180 colour variations. If you wanted to do your own design, that can also be done. You just need to upload the image. Simple.
When you go to select your invitation style, you will be shown the additional stationery available such as Save the Dates, Directions, RSVP, Accommodation Cards and Place Cards. This means that in one swift order you can have everything looked after.
The beauty of their system is the that once you set up an account, you can load in your preferred items and add details but if you don’t have all the details needed to complete the order, you simply save and it will be there when you return.
One of the design features I loved was the option to use a foil type lettering. You can use gold, rose gold or silver on your invitation and it is just beautiful. I particularly loved it on the darker coloured invitations. One of the leading trends for 2018 will be metallic so this lends itself very well! You also have the choice to complete your wedding stationery with a personalised wedding guest book.
Another feature I liked was the address service. You can upload all your invitations recipients addresses and save yourself some very precious time. Oh and it’s a free service…Yes you read correctly….it’s free!
Delivery to Ireland comes in at roughly €25 and takes about 12 days for the order to arrive.
You can order a free sample of the order you want. I always like companies that do this as so many don’t, it shows that they can stand over the quality of their products.
I wanted to see how much it would be for an order of 100 with all the trimmings, it was great value. My order included;
- Invitations
- Save the dates
- Place cards
- Direction cards
- Accommodation cards
- Envelopes with coloured insert lining
- Free address service
- Pockets to hold all the cards
It came in at just under €420 including delivery, that is excellent value considering the amount that I was looking to order. I just went for the full package but not everyone is going to need everything above. You can also return if you are not happy with your order.
