Cool Hen Party Accessories
I was recently asked where one could source ‘cool’ hen party accessories and I was actually a bit stumped. Then I remembered chatting with the fabulous Siobhan Scanlon who is leading the way in fun and stylish hen parties. She is on a mission of transforming the usual willy straws and bling sashes to Coco Chanel, Barbie and Unicorns!

To give you a back round on this cool shop, the idea came about when Siobhan’s sister was getting married. She was tasked with arranging the hen party and was overwhelmed by the lack of choice out there when it came to accessories. We all know there’s lots of pink, willy straws and sashes by the dozen but nothing really unusual, cool or funky. Hence how ‘The Peacock Bride’ was born!
They have a load of quirky stuff available but i love ‘capsule’ collections:
Coco: Very Coco Chanel – pearls, gloves, feathers, sequence and cigarette holders
Barbie: Exactly what it says on the tin! Everything Barbie would wear herself!

Alice: Fantasy land – unicorns, flamingo’s, ice cream, bunnies….the list goes on.
Prince: Wings, wigs, shiny disco balls!

There’s a ton of hair accessories, wigs, novelty items and a section especially for the bride so whether it’s a pouty veil, some metallic wings or a pink jewelled crown she’s after, you can be sure we have something that will make her stand out.
Siobhan explained “Nowadays people are more style conscious than ever before but somehow this has become lost when it comes to hen parties. I’ve had countless conversations with friends about the lack of choice out there for the pre-wedding bash. The default is to reach for the garter and willy straw. Now don’t get me wrong, I am partial to a willy straw but as with everything it’s all about moderation! I hope that The Peacock Bride goes some way to giving hens what they want!“
