I always get asked to recommend a good music act for church and arrival ceremonies. I came across Carousel a few weeks ago and was really impressed with the blend of music they offer. The duo includes Mary O’ Neill and Jason Rooney. Mary has a beautiful almost trad Irish voice whilst Jason’s tone is a bit more contemporary. When you put them together in a harmony it is beautiful. They take songs both old and new and add their flare to it.
Mary plays the harp and it is so beautiful and I love how it sounds in the more contemporary songs that they perform.
Jason plays the guitar and brings that gorgeous acoustic sound. In a church setting, the hairs will stand at the back of your neck!
I really liked how different they are. I’ve seen a lot of soloists with keyboard etc and whilst that is beautiful, this is just something a little bit different.
Their harmonies are flawless and the combination of their diverse ranges really complements each other.
They offer their services for wedding ceremonies, pre dinner drinks receptions, day after the wedding entertainment and they also have an all day wedding package in conjunction with Electric Circus (they do the live wedding band and DJ).
