I was honoured to be on the expert panel for One Fab Days Lavish Lunch last month. The amazing Blaithnaid Tracey hosted a Q&A with questions from readers of One Fab Day and the audience. I was of course in my element chatting about weddings.
One of the questions that came up was the issue around allowing mothers/mothers in law to bring their friends. If you asked me before I got married, I would have said ‘hell no’ but after the wedding passes and you might start a family, your mother and your mother in law may be the troopers that give you all the help in the world with the kids. Im so so lucky to have the support from both Mothers and if giving them a table or two at the wedding would make them happy, then upon reflection, I would have given it to them. Of course, you are probably playing the numbers versus venue capacity game but for me, if I could have given them the world I would.
It was an incredible event which saw some of the worlds top bridal designers showcase their most recent collections. Designers included Berta, Carolina Herrera, Steven Kahlil, Zuhair Murad and Made With Love to name but a few. All dresses were from The Wedding Club which is an exclusive bridal boutique in the UK. There was some home grown talent there on the day including Starla and Brown Thomas.
The Westin Hotel was incredible. The food was divine and decor was so beautifully provided by Frog Prince
