Introducing Emma & John….
After an incredibly unique engagement in Petra, one of the wonders of the world, there was no delay in getting the wedding planning wheels in motion. They made the decision to plan their wedding in 10 months, which is no easy task, but with Emma & Johns organisation skills it was a breeze!
Their first big decision was the venue but to be fair, it wasn’t a hard decision as they booked Coolbawn Quay and from what I’ve seen, it’s stunning!
Now most brides would be unimpressed if another bride-to-be in their bridal party found their wedding dress when they were meant to be helping them get theirs. Luckily, Emma has a very understanding twin sister Sara and she was only delighted that Emma found her dress while they were out shopping for hers! Not only did she get her dress that day but her photographer had a book showcasing her work in the bridal shop and Emma liked what she saw and then booked her.
As you can see…..there was no messing about!
Everything else just fell into place along the way.
“You always hear people say that your wedding day is “The best day of your life” and for me it definitely rang true. It was perfect.” Emma Kennedy
They were so lucky with the weather as if you can recall February….it was rotten but Emma and John had a lovely dry day. The ceremony itself was beautiful with Emma’s family singing so beautifully during it.
I recall seeing a snapchat video from Emma and John’s wedding day and I have to say, I have never seen a bride and groom have so much craic at their own wedding. You could see in their faces that they had the time of their lives. Emma and John didn’t sweat the small stuff and maybe because they had less time to deliberate over every detail, they just embraced everything!
“I would love to do the entire day all over again. It was brilliant.” Emma & John

They toured the country visiting some of Ireland’s top 5 star hotels such as Monart Spa, Fota Island Resort, and Aghadoe Heights.
“The only thing I would try to do is to hold back the tears a bit better. I got so emotional walking up the aisle that I don’t have that many decent photos of that moment 😉” Emma
Some parting advice from the bride and groom:
“Keep it simple. We focused on sorting all the big elements of the day first and as time went on we added little things here and there. There are so many little extras and add-ons that you can just get swamped under it all by doing too much. As long as the food and the music are good everyone will enjoy the day.”
