Introducing Emma and Orlagh…..
I get sent a lot of real weddings and I always fall in love with the ones that look like they were good craic. This one definitely looks like a lot of fun was had and it was in one one of my favourite venues, Clonbreany House. Their adoration for each other radiates through their pictures by the amazing Joanna from May 22 Photography.
The engagement was under the Northern Lights and the big day was at Clonabreany House……
Emma and Orlagh met playing GAA and flash to 12 years later, they are saying ‘We Do’.
When it came to planning, they didn’t faff about, they got stuck in booking the key items such as venue, band, videographer, photographer, dresses, flowers, honeymoon, rings and ceremony. Everything else just fell in to place.
The big day wasn’t long coming around and it went without any issues. They booked in to the Headfort Arms the night before the wedding and the luxurious bridal suite to stay and getting ready in. They arrived in Clonabreany for the ceremony where Romy McAuley the officiant delivered a tear jerking ceremony.
“The food was amazing as were all the staff they couldn’t have done enough and we couldn’t fault one thing. After the amazing meal and hilarious speeches we had Fire breathers in the courtyard it was the perfect to kick start the evening entertainment.”
The 6 six tier cheesecake was a big hit as well as the fire breathing entertainers at the end of the night.
It was then that Kiara Dignam Band took over and stole the show, the dance floor didn’t stop. The party didn’t stop here and the Shebeen was the next stop for pints and a sing song…. that lasted until 5am courtesy of Orlagh’s cousin playing the spoons who had the place on wheels.
After a long week celebrating the wedding they flew out to Fort Lauderdale for a couple of nights and then on a Caribbean Cruise….sounds amazing!
“On reflection I think I overlooked how special and enjoyable our marriage day in the registry office was. We got married on the Monday and celebrated with our families on the Friday.”
