Prepare to have serious wedding envy with this gorgeous real wedding at The Station House Hotel.
Emma and Rob’s journey to the altar started in an unexpected setting – a karaoke night at The Slaughtered Lamb in Swords, where the magic of music and a shared laugh laid the foundations for a love story that would span over a decade.

Fast forward nine years, amidst the icy landscapes of Iceland, where Rob popped the question catching Emma completely off guard! Their engagement joy was briefly overshadowed by the onset of Covid, which put their wedding plans on a three-year pause.
However, taking this time allowed Emma and Rob to focus on what truly mattered to them – a celebration that was intimate, fun, and inclusive of their beloved sausage dog, Biscuit, ensuring their wedding was a reflection of their laid-back style.
With Emma’s talents in graphic design, the couple took a hands-on approach to their wedding, infusing the day with personal touches and DIY elements. From a bespoke Biscuit Bar for four-legged guests to selecting Spring Break for the entertainment, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to echo their personalities and love story.
Held at The Station House Hotel, their wedding day was an intimate affair with 53 close guests. The day was filled with laughter, dance, and unique moments like a conga line and a bubble-surrounded first dance in the forest, making it unforgettable.
Their gorgeous doggy Biscuit played the role of ring bearer, adding a personal and adorable touch to the ceremony. Wedding Tails were Biscuits’ minders for the day. Instead of a traditional wedding cake, they opted for Krispy Kreme donuts, and a retro guest telephone collected heartfelt voicemails from guests, creating lasting memories.
Post-celebration, the newlyweds jetted off to Tuscany, where they got to enjoy the all wine, and pasta, and hot air balloon rides over the picturesque Tuscany fields….Bliss!
Looking back, Emma and Rob wouldn’t change a thing about their wedding. It was exactly as they envisioned – a grand celebration of love, akin to a private party with their closest friends and family. Their advice to those embarking on their wedding journey is;
“Do what YOU want as a couple, you are the ones paying the bill. There is no right or wrong wedding, as long as it’s good vibes, and it’s what you both want, then go for it!”
