Introducing Margot & Christopher’s Real Wedding Story at Luttrellstown Castle
Brace yourselves for an unforgettable love story with the perfect blend of Irish charm and New York elegance. Captured by the talented duo of Daniel Wedding Photographer from DKPHOTO and videographer Daniel from We as One, this day was truly magical from start to finish.
How They Met:
Margot and Christopher’s love story started where so many modern romances do—on Bumble! Their first date at a cozy wine bar in London sealed the deal, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
The Engagement:
Christopher pulled off the ultimate proposal at Glenlo Abbey, a historic boutique hotel on Ireland’s west coast. After a disastrous attempt at playing golf, Margot was welcomed into a room filled with roses, chocolates, and champagne. Thinking it was a mistake, she nearly closed the door before Christopher insisted it was the right room and got down on one knee. He delivered a beautiful speech, and Margot, of course, said yes. It was pure magic!
The Wedding Theme:
Margot and Christopher’s wedding colours were a nod to their shared roots: blue and white for the Northern Irish flax flower and pink apple blossoms to represent New York City, Margot’s hometown.
The Looks:
This wedding was pure class, with Christopher in a classic black tie and Margot dazzling in not one, but three dresses! She wore a ceremony gown by Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad, a dinner/dancing dress by Philipa Leplay, and a party dress from Oscar de la Renta.
The Ceremony:
Their ceremony was an immersive experience, with a virtual sky that changed as each family member walked down the aisle and poetry readings from both Northern Irish and American poets. Margot walked down to “Raglan Road”—their song—which made the moment unforgettable.
The Venue:
They tied the knot at the iconic Luttrellstown Castle, just outside Dublin. With Irish and American flags flying high, the day was as much a celebration of their love as it was a tribute to their heritage.
The Decor:
The couple chose Rosehip & Berry to plant seasonal flowers throughout the castle, honouring both their Irish and American roots. It was the perfect touch, creating a natural, beautiful ambiance throughout.
The Entertainment:
Music played a huge role in the day, with a string quartet, harpist, live band, and guitarist/singer providing a mix of traditional Irish music with a modern twist. It was the perfect soundtrack to their celebration.
Favourite Memory:
Margot’s favourite memory? Her first dance with Christopher. After all the practice, nothing could compare to the real moment—it was special and completely unforgettable.
Advice for New Couples:
“Dedicate yourselves to each other every single day—especially on the tough days.”
Margot and Christopher’s wedding was a beautiful blend of cultures, love, and family. Wishing them all the happiness in their journey together!
