A few years ago there was a wedding party that got in touch and they were in a complete and utter panic. The full groomswear that was due to land in a suit hire shop had shut down and with days until the wedding they were stuck. I jumped in and CT2 moved appointments and took on this group and got them up the aisle. When they reached out the other day, I was delighted to hear that they have a great solution for Irish grooms to be.
Let’s hear from them…..
Well it has certainly been a challenge to continue to provide our service while we are temporarily closed!! We are adhering to the strict guidelines so in the first lockdown we got an app that uses augmented reality to measure our Grooms and Groomsmen from the comfort of their own homes using only their phones www.CT2.ie/sizer. We then – behind the scenes – prepare the suits, do all the alterations to make the suits fit each individual and then we deliver them. So far it has been working really well.
After Christmas when we entered this lockdown we decided to add a service whereby we ask couples (marrying in the coming months) to give us their ideas or send pictures of suits that they like and we deliver some sample suits for the Groom to try on at home. This is very reassuring for the couples marrying this February and March because they can’t browse the suit shops as they would under normal circumstances. We may even continue this service once we reopen as it is working really well. I have even had a Groom try the suits on and the Groomsmen have joined him on zoom to give their opinion!! Obviously it’s not as good as the in store experience but it’s helping couples to find their suits and alleviating some of the stress that they have felt.
I am constantly trying to think of ways that we as a Groomswear supplier can innovate and change to help Grooms/couples as I really feel for them with the ups and downs of this situation and mainly, for the lack of clarity. If I can do anything to help, I will.
