The Wedding Ring Shopping Experience

I took a trip to Jack Murphy Jewellers in Newry and what can I say….WOW! Firstly, it was fantastic to get out and meet business owners in person again but also, I have never witnessed such a beautiful experience before.

So what do I mean by experience, well most of you will be familiar with the concept of arriving at a bridal boutique or grooms wear boutique. It’s a private appointment, you might get some champagne but ultimately there is a big fuss made and you have a day out. You could call this experience an occasion. I never understood how there was a big experience for buying a dress which gets one wear (a very important and special one don’t get me wrong) but the ring you wear for life so it’s a huge monumental occasion! In some cases, many feel underwhelmed by their experience.

What Jack Murphy Jewellers have done is simulated this consultative experience to give the engagement ring or wedding ring shopping experience the sense of a really special and memorable occasion.

When you arrive, you are brought to your setting with your consultant and you are presented with a glass of Champagne from the dedicated Champagne Bar which resides right there in the showroom. Upon consultation, the team will know if they have the ring you have in your mind in store or whether there is a need to curate a ring bespoke to you.

What I loved even more was that this wasn’t just a stylish setting, there is a lot of substance backing up the service. The Murphy Family work as a team and have been in operation for almost 50 years. Their knowledge is unrivalled. Even the smallest of details has a story and they are more than happy to share is so that you understand the love and care that has gone in to the making of your precious stone.

Now that I have witnessed this service, I firmly believe that all couples really deserve this experience!
