Kinnitty Castle Hotel
I always said that if I didn’t get married where I did, Kinnitty Castle would have been my next choice. What I love about this particular castle is its great grandeur yet it has a balance of warmth and friendliness. My favourite is the walkway to the bridge. What makes this venue stand out for me is that it has not been modernised what so ever. The decor at arrival receptions is an old world with plenty of large-scale paintings, high ceilings and antique furniture. The private dining room is impressive with beautiful coving and a walk-in fireplace. This is perfect for small intimate weddings and a civil ceremony. There are a few outdoor locations for a civil ceremony too.
The bridal suite is unreal and luxurious and every guest room is different. They all have lovely features – wooden beams or a stand-alone bath. Through the court yard, you will come across the Great Hall for your reception. It is a rectangular shape and you can have one long table running the whole way down, it is like Hogwarts banquet hall from Harry Potter. You can find the bar in a hidden nook with Prosecco on tap…amazing! After the wedding reception, your guests can make their way to the residents bar in the basement of the hotel. The wedding team and general manager Wayne are so invested in every wedding and want to make your wedding day not only seamless but perfect. If you love a medieval style, vintage and not a fan of a modern look, this is really worth considering!
