Where do I even begin to start with Rathsallagh House….I never really heard of Rathsallagh House prior to being involved in The Weddingsonline Awards. Whilst I didn’t judge the venue category, my fellow judges literally raved about this venue. I had no other choice but to book a night away.
From the moment we arrived we knew that there was something very special and when we learnt that Bono stayed on the room we stayed in well that confirmed it.
We met with Joe (Junior & Senior) when we arrived and the passion this family exudes really transpires across the whole property. Every little detail has been thought through. From the moment we arrived we knew that there was something very special and when we learnt that Bono stayed on the room we stayed in well that confirmed it.
There is no limit to the flexibility they offer when it comes to a wedding. You can read Helen & Angelas Real Wedding story to see how flexible there are.
They have a beautiful walled garden and greens that stretch for miles. You definitely feel like you’ve stepped out of the chaos of every day life.
I loved the ballroom. It is bright, airy and spacious. The decor is in-keeping with the garden feel but you can do your own styling if you wish. Joe the owner showed us his pride and joy….the ladies toilet…..you’ll see it in the pictures below. Definitely a social occasion!
The food is incredible. I literally melted eating the food. There is a farm on site and some of the produce is used in the restaurant.
One of my favourite things to do at Rathsallagh House is to do nothing. Yes that’s right…..do nothing! It’s rare that I get to do nothing and just relax but with the sitting rooms with lit fires, board games and lush sodas, I couldn’t actually do anything else but put my feet up!
Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with this venue and when I heard Helen and Angelas’ story, that gave the stamp of approval.
