Trudder Lodge is a dream of a venue and I am very lucky to be invited to a wedding there next year….I honestly cannot wait! I have watched them from afar for many months and am drawn to the gorgeous period rooms, brightly lit ceremony space and the ivy covered house. Olga Hogan Photography brought together a team to deliver an elegant fairytale shoot to give some Autumnal inspiration.
“We wanted to create a shoot that would remind of a modern fairytale romance. Autumn is one of the prettiest seasons of Ireland, and our colour palette was inspired by nature with the colours of burgundy and muted greens.”
The models chosen were a real life couple who due to Covid had to adapt their overseas wedding plans. To mark the occasion, the couple had a small registry office ceremony in Wexford, and captured their wedding sentiment with Olga and the team.
As you will see from the imagery, hair was a big feature. Lorraine Browne styled each look and you will see a mix of loose tossed looks which are ideal for Irish Autumns. Each style is complemented with Lorraine’s handmade accessories and Rosie and Dott’s signature sparkle. Speaking of sparkle, can we take a moment to take in the glow and beauty of the make up Stephanie Burgess.
“The Bride for this shoot was a pure regal beauty. The Justin Alexander gowns were so perfectly princess with their full skirts and elaborate beading from B Couture Bridal. I wanted the hairstyles to connect with that but also the chilled party vibe of Trudder Lodge so I wanted a modern formal look that 20/21 brides could find inspiration from.
The groom wore a matching autumnal burgundy suit from The Suit Direct UK.
For the venue styling, the team sought inspiration from many elements that fit Trudder Lodge. Mad About Flowers created bespoke floral arrangements. They created a gradient rose bouquet and a cascading arrangement for a more regal look. The flower tones work perfectly with an autumnal theme along with the ivy turning all shades of burgundy. The intimate table setting, perfect for this year’s small weddings, is lavishly decorated with gold dinnerware, romantic candles and personalised stationery by Calligraphy by Laura. For added decor uniqueness, The Paper Petal Company completed a paper flower installation which is ideal all year round.
The final details included a commissioned painting by one of my favourite gifts to any couple. Wedding Art Paintings features different elements from a couple’s story, from where they met to how they got engaged and celebrated their commitment. The beautiful cake with sugar flowers by Miller Cake Studio was the perfect cherry on top!
