This years Bridal Fashion Week in New York marked a year of pushing boundaries and creativity. In terms of new styles, well there was none as such. We saw more of an enhancement on the last 2 years worth of gowns. If we go back to last year, you will see the new styles that hit the catwalks on my previous post.
In nutshell, the dress skirts got bigger and more elaborate, more dresses are appearing backless, feathers are everywhere, sparkles are so hot right now, cut off down the chest has never been more popular, ruffled sleeves are the ‘in’ thing, capes are still cool, pearls are starting to make a come back, bridal jumpsuits are getting more and more creative, there were plenty of nods to Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn and small subtle injections of colour are making all the difference.
